Why so many install problems for people?

Liteon 93450c flashed with LTV1.1 plays some backups ?

I just flashed a LiteOn for someone and it played 2 backups (GOW2 & Ace Combat 6 ) without any issues.
But when you try playing some other backups its stating to update?
The dashboard version is in the low 7000's !
I've been reading about the new update that kills playing backups is this confirmed ?
Should he update his console or not?
Worst that will happen is he wont be able to play backups right ?

Ok I think I found the answer which is no matter what MICROCRAP will get you LOL
If he updates the dashboard everything should work except for the newer games like Fable 3 ....
It may also flag you for future ban as well if it detects you trying to play a game that fails the AP2.5 check ( not known for sure )
