I have an xecuter 2.6 lite ce installed in my Xbox and I installed the EvoX dashboard using SlaYers auto Install and now it takes FOREVER to load the map when I try to play halo 2 on any game type (SinglePlayer, Split Screen, or COOP) this also happens when i turn my modchip OFF. It can take up to 15mins just to load 1 split screen match! This is not a problem on any other game I have just on Halo2 (I've tryed Halo1, Unreal, and others). Ive tryed my friends CD and there is the same problem so it is not the CD condition. Earlyer i posted a similar thread on the Homebrew Xbox & PC apps but I discovered that it was not the halo2 trainers fault. (I deleted it and there was still the same problem). I also restored the XBOX retail settings and deleted EvoX and tryed it like that but the problem was still there so I reinstalled EvoX & the Trainer again. The game works but it takes SOOOOOOOOO LOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGG to load the maps!

I have no idea whats wrong so any help would be great.

p.s. I have never had this problem before =(

No modded maps but i do have the stock HDD, Although I have not saved anything to it yet. Except for Halo Profile and the profiles of the other games, but that takes up absolutely no space.

By the way I cant play Single Player or COOP at all.
If it is the hard drive where can i buy a new hard drive the XBOX can read? Is it just a normal computer Harddrive? And I dont understand why it doesn't happen on my other games. I need any help I can get, thanks.

As for the hdd yes it is a standard ide pc drive that is formatted to the xbox file system can be done by either config live or on your pc.

as for the dvd drive i origianlly had a thompson drive and had all sorts of problems with them, not reading disks, being slow etc, so i bought a new philips drive off ebay and havnt had a problem since, im assuming you have other 'backups' that work ok with the same type of disks so you know the media is compatable with the drive and the disk is in good condition.

Why SOOOO LOOOONNNGGG????

That's what she said...

I do not if you have enough room to do this but try loading the game onto the HD with DVD2Xbox and see if it loads faster, as you may have an issue with your Thompson DVD drive. If it does load faster you have two choices buy a bigger HDD and load all your games onto it or buy a new laser for that Thompson drive.

I've already tried loading the game to the HDD and it still had the same problem, I deleted it because it took up most of the retail HDD. Could the thompson drive cause problems with certain games, or could it be the HDD or a faulty file on the HDD?

Have you cleared your cache drives x, y and z?

Nevermind I think it is EvoX screwing up my system.

Halo 2 takes forever on my box, too - it has to copy TONS of stuff to one of the cache drives.. running from HD makes this process take any longer, since my 160G HD doesn't have much of a buffer. (drive head skipping back & forth all over the place)
