yeah the new firmware wont play back ups that arnt correctly patched

iXtreme does not support using the 360 drive in Windows to dump games or extract SS anymore so that guide wouldn't apply here.

Your best bet now and for the future is to invest in a Kreon drive which dumps full images including SS in one step.
