Okay, checked all the posts and found nothing on this subject, so let's hope it "belongs" here... if not, please PM me to tell me where to go (no "punny" jokes please...)

I installed & flashed the chip correctly, loaded evox properly, and basically have everything working correctly. I want to install a new HDD (like on my other 3 boxes), but when I try to boot from an evox boot disc it has an unusual problem. It will boot from disc if the stock HDD is connected (the skins on the dashes are different, so I know it's booting the evox disc instead of the HDD dash), but when the HDD is disconnected it just FRAGs. Same when any new HDD is connected (just FRAGs).
WTF is going on? I've now modded probably close to 100 boxes (3 are my own) and I have never seen or heard of this before! Anyone who knows anything about this abnormal boot sequence please respond so I (or "all of us" if it happens to be a new security feature) can solve the problem and post the solution for anyone else who encounters it...
