Will a memorex dvd burner work for burnermax payload tool?

I know they sell those at radioshack (which is very close to my house).
But I need to know first if that would work so then I'm not wasting my money on one for nothing (Plus my laptop is not compatible for the burnermax payload tool).

No, those won't work. I don't think there is a laptop drive that will burn xbox 360 games. If you really want a burner, I recommend the sony optiarc 5280s-cb-plus and a x360usb pro or other Sata to usb device. This sony drive does not require any additional softwares or firmwares, it's literally plug-and-play shipped stock with overburn firmware on it. I have the drive myself, I absolutely love it.
