Hey guys,

I'm trying to update my Nand-X for the past 2 days, I've read anything available on the topic a few times,
include other people with that problems posts, but still can't get it to work no matter what I do...

* I have a CK3 Pro, pretty sure its the old one as it doesn't have a USB-COM switch. (I'll add some pics)
Tried 2 different drivers only the 1.3.0 recognise & installed the CK3 Pro successfully and show it as:
Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port (COM2) which is obviously what I choose in Flash Magic.

* Original Xecuter CK3 to NAND-X Update Cable
I did make sure the wires was not connected the wrong way around (bad batch) by the Xecuter pics it looks proper to me. I'll add my pics

* New Nand-X (not that it matters)

Tried it on 2 different computers each running 2 OS, first comp with Win XP and Win 7,
Second comp with 2 Win XP, but I get the same Error no matter what I do: Operation Failed. Failed to autobaud - step 1. see "link"

Tried power cycling and immediately pressing start many many times, tried switching the oscillator from 12 to 14.745,
tried connecting the CK3 Pro USB Through a Powered Usb Hub... lowered & increased Baud Rate etc etc.... No Love!

Blue led on CK3 Pro and red on the Nand-X

its like Flash Magic is not even trying to flash it, just give that annoying Error after about 1-2 seconds of "attempting" seems like it doesn't give it a chance.

The Process is pretty simple for me to understand very basic stuff and a good tut here,
In my Job all I do is Flash phones fix software failure, unlocks etc, I'm not new to this kind of things

I just can't see where I'm going wrong, could it be me sure it could, but I did Everything possible other then Adding the wire to the CK3 Pro like you do for revision-D, but mine is a regular old CK3 Pro right? should I do it anyway?

Even tried with a Serial cable and got the same exact Error Damn! I thought this way it might work, or at least do something other then give the same Error in 1-2 secs

Obviously starting to fear something is faulty

***So I Tried the Philips LPC2000 software and I cannot Select the LPC2148 or any other one! it stays on the LPC2106 it comes with,
I Can See The List And I can scroll down BUT I can't Select/Choose anything?
What can I do fellas I would love to give it a go?

I'm not one that gives up easily but at this point I would gladly send my Nand-X back to Xconsoles and pay the $10 + shipment but problem is I'm leaving in Israel and just to get it here costs about $26 in the slower option... so it'll cost way too much to update it.

Any help will be greatly Appreciated.

Here's the pictures:

I did push the connector properly in there when I tried to update it

When everything is loaded in Flash Magic, hit the reset button (use a pin) on the NAND-X and then hit Start.

Also, a screenshot of your Flash Magic window would help.

Just tried it several times Blakey, Same exact Error
I can take pics but it looks exactly the same.

I pressed reset with a pin on the nandx (fast just hit & release) and pressed start on the flash magic
did that a few times, then tried slower and quickly pressing reset after start in the sofware, nothing.

Tried on both 12 & 14.745

does it looks like I have the correct drivers (1.3.0) for my CK3 Pro/this job ?

Tried directly soldering it? I did mine that way and worked with-out a hitch.

Try this driver and report back.
that's the drivers I tried first I've installed it then connected the usb to the CK3 Pro and it gave me the unable to install then it gives you a few options to search for it on the net or on you comp... you know so I'm assuming its not the correct one?

TilVl did you tried with the official cable first?
I bought it so I don't have to mess with that you know, and it looks like it touches well
but who knows man

Thanks

I thought you were to switch power on the CK3:

If Flash Magic gives you errors (cant find device etc). Turn the CK3 power off. Then turn on and hit the Start button IMMEDIATELY. That should kick it in.

Did you try and install the drivers I linked to?

Uninstall the prolific USB to Serial COM port first, connect the CK3 Pro via USB, once you see the new device in Device Manager, go to Update Driver, browse to the driver folder (the one you downloaded from the link) and select the .inf.

will try that right now
but when you say uninstall you mean right click in Device manager or from the Add or remove software in control panel, might be a stupid question but I'm not sure?
because even if I uninstall the driver from Device M, it will still be on the ADD or Remove program window?

Uninstall the driver from Add/Remove programs and also uninstall it from Device Manager (if it is still there after uninstalling through Add/Remove programs).
Blakey thank your for your patience bro

I downloaded the link but all I see in there is the setup.exe and the readme after I uncompressed it to a folder?

after uninstalling the prolific one, I connected the ck3 usb and did the update driver from the Device M
but I don't find that file blakey?

so I've installed that setup.exe you gave me, because I didn't find anything in the link... then connected the ck3 and I still can't find the file you're talking about... where should I look for that .inf.

sorry man my brain is melting from all the thinking today.
