Will I get banned??

Hi,

A total noob, and probably a dumb question, but here goes.....

Back in May I connected my virgin Xbox to the internet, I didn't create an XBL account, just wanted to see what would happen. I'm sure the Dashboard got updated and came up with a message saying so. Also in the saved games menu an "Xbox Live Updater" using 2 blocks appeared.

I'm just wandering if this dashboard update sent any information regarding my hard drive back to M$.
I've just installed the X3 and a 160GB hard drive, if I went online and created an XBL account, would this then ban me from XBL or do you have to create an account first before any information is taken from my Xbox?

Hope someone can help.

as long as you didn't actually connect to xbox live you should be ok, see what happens in the next day or 2. if you don't get banned then it looks like your alright

Thanks for your advice, I signed on using the 2 months trial on Friday and everything seems to be ok, still able to sign on to XBL.

Reading all the terms and conditions before your actually agree to sign on, it looks like M$ cannot get any details from your Xbox before you finish the process of signing on. So updating the Dashboard without an XBL account, M$ cannot get information from your Xbox, it's the law.

DG-16D2S-09C questions =)

I've looked at the instructions for flashing my DVD drive which happens to be DG-16D2S-09C. This one seems to be the most complicated of the drives to flash. My question is, if I fail at this, will taking a TS-H943 MS28 from my old xbox still be combatible (size, shape, software, etc.) with my current xbox housing the DG-16D2S-09C? Any help/info would be much appreciated. Thanks
