I've got a Dell Studio 1558 laptop with esata port, and I've been able to get the computer booted in IDE mode, get Jungleflasher to start up and run portio64 successfully, and now I'm just waiting on my esata to sata cable to come in. Also, I'll be flashing a benq drive.
I'm wondering if there has been success with the 5 series/3400 series chipsets (and more specifically, the HM55 chipsets). I've seen a few people here with the 5/3400 series chipsets listed in their setup, so I figure they've got to work (at least for some) - I'd just like some first-hand knowledge to be shared. Also, are there any issues with drivers getting in the way (like there is with the VIA chipsets)? Thanks in advance!
