HITACHI NON-79 will my drive work

i im done tryin to get my hitachi ver 59dj drive to work.. i would like to know if a hitachi ver79fk will work in my xbox 360 that had the ver 59 drive in it.. when i put it in the xbox it reads the original games as a dvd
on Stock firmware ?

You're moving your 59 DVD key to the 79 and spoofing the drive, so post your log please.

i have a new ver 79 out the box i would like to know if it will work if i put it in my xbox i didnt do any thing with it yet is that what i have to do spoof the dvd key

Wait up - is there history on this from another thread?

If you bought a v79 to replace a v59, then swap PCBs as suggested.

then you have a weak laser.clean laser ,pot tweak it,are replace it

you said they worked ok on lt 1.1 but not 2.0 try flashing back to stock and then reflash to lt2.0

yes on 1.1 and i tryed reflashing it i get the same thing for my backups and thanks for all your help im going to flash back to stock and try it again
