Will there come USB 3.0 Speed in the near future ?

and first thanks for the awesome work that Team Xecuter did and does

A thing that I long for is the use of USB 3.0 reading speed.
Using big XCI files with USB HDD is way too slow what kills the fun to play.
On the other hand, a USB HDD is predestined for large XCI files.
Is it impossible to activate the nice 3.0 speed?
The ports inside the dock are blue so they seem to be USB 3.0.

So can we hope for near support?

Possibly, there will be 1TB SD cards soon though so that could be an alternative.

SD cards of this size will certainly be very expensive.

The better alternative is HDD, and cheap to have!

How are you testing the speeds? The 2 ports on the outside of the dock are usb2 and the one inside is usb 3.

Where are you seeing the slowness? This is the first port I have seen someone saying games are unplayable. Usually people say that loading the games in the album or SX loader are slow, but not actually playing games.

But there's no difference in loading speed.
Huge XCI that reach xx GB are loading sometimes minutes till the game finally starts.
1 minute to the first screen, another for the next logo, than another for the menu etc.
Ok, unplayable is the wrong word, I confess. But I gave up playing such games because of to long waiting time.
The loading speed from internal microSD is so much faster.
On my PC the reading time is much faster with USB 3.0 HDD than with microDS.

I know from my XBOX One X how fast a gaming station can work with an USB HDD with much bigger games up to xxx GB.
My question is just if we can await faster speed in the future.
I love the SXOS features and I'm really happy to be an owner, bigger files I can install on microSD to play better.
But to use the USB HDD without loss of speed would be a dream coming true.

Yes, latest 2.6.1 can and some of the earlier ones also, 2.6.0 can't read ext hdd

USB support exists since v2.2 in September 2018.
There're just 1 or 2 releases between having this feature broken (like 2.6.0, therefor the 2.6.1 fix).

This is only noticeable with huge files, because there's a lot more data transfer.
But USB is always slower than the internal places.
