GENERAL Will this converter work for flashing?

I was wondering if this product (a SATA drive to USB adapter converter cable) will work for flashing, since I don't have a SATA connector on my PC.

a generic USB 2 SATA converter will ONLY work for Hitachi drives and ONLY on XP 32 bit
