Ok I've cut a bit further now, is the top trace the one that needs to be cut? Can I just use an exacto knife and is it just a straight cut or will I keep dremelling? Thanks.

here is all you'll need just make sure you marked it good and BE EXTRA GENTLE AND CAREFULL, you need to drill just a little bit, there wont be a hole just something that look like a begining of a hole 
and when you hear a beep in JF --- S T O P!!!!! all done
as i said TOP trace is the one you need to cut, do not touch the bottom one or you'll kill the drive

Not sure where you are from but the TX Replacement PCB is still on sale at XConsoles for $55 after the public promo code. They also sell the Kamakazi template and drill bit.

Since it is playing games you might not want to drill more. Maybe hook it up and press a cuetip against it with so alcohol.
Just google pout fix. That should solve your problem with the ejecting and the drive will work for now.

It is ejecting and playing games still. I've uncovered another trace on top of the previous one (never drilled hard enough to cut it). Will I just use an exacto knife to cut it? Will that work?

Hahaha I'm determined at this point! Can somebody just tell me if I can cut the trace? And yes you can show your friends the pic, I know it's shocking but it's still working fine!

have JF send the unlock command, drill untill it beeps (unlocks), then STOP drilling (which by looking at the pics, you should have done even BEFORE you started, but ok)

I thought you said that this was a learning thing?
I told you to mark out the centre by scoring the chip based on legs etc. You've not done this. You've used a pencil.
What's the point of posting 'it's for learning' when you don't want to listen?

I do want to learn but I'll be ordering the part anyway so I may aswell try my luck.
The drive is still working and I keep drilling into it and jungleflasher still won't beep. Its annoying me at this point. I can still see two traces but Im not sure if I should cut them or not. Everyone keeps telling me to keep drilling at the spot but its not working at all. The traces are not at the spot. Does anybody have a picture of the traces underneath the chip so I know which ones should be cut? How the drive isn't dead yet I have no idea.

You've not found the trace yet. you MUST score the chip properly to align with the legs on the chip as you could be in the completely wrong area.
I have scored the chip, alot of times. There is a crevice now from all the drilling and its still working and not unlocked. The hole is big too, think I might just leave it. I'm at my wits end Think I might just go crazy with the knife next (on the mobo that is haha ).

Because you're completely off-key. I don't see ANY score marks on the top of the chip.

ok if you seriously want to destroy it just get that dremel and stab the board in any part of the meteor hole and dremel so hard, if it doesnt beep, its dead, if it does, job well done =))

Don't keep going (if you're even still playing with it), that hole is a mess.
You need to be precise with this method.
Look at this kamikaze I did yesterday, you can't even see the trace, but it's been cut already.
