I have done a lot of reading and most off us get it wrong the 1st time :(

I have a Hitachi 0059DJ rom i have the slax 2.1 disc i go through the motions to get into mode b, i have to eject the rom or it sticks with promt spinning up disc, it takes 2 clicks to get rom back in so i am in mode b it seems.

I restart pc with power still on 360 but windows just does not see the drive ? I go into device manager but its not there ?

is there any other way or am i missing something ?

Any input would be great.

Keep up the good work mods this site is very helpfull :)

Thanks.

What sata chipset do you have? If you have a VIA, you probably need to update to the most current drivers.

Trickie, I would just use the newest Garyopa 2.3 v2..... just make sure, that when you go to open the X-LG in the command window, that the folder is close to your C drive folder (not buried deep in My Documents/..../..../.../ etc.)

Let us know how it goes

Yeah... if you read Textbook's tutorial

http://www.360mods.net/Downloads/get=61.html

then in the "Neat Powertoy" section of the tutorial, for flashing Hitachis, you can download a program called "Cmd Here"... that way you can just right click on the X-LG folder, then click Open Command Prompt Here...and it will bring up a Command Propmt for you.. then all you have to do it type the Flash23S X XXXX command.

Open that X-LG folder first and just make sure that the Flash23S.bat file is in there

Also I would double check to make sure that your Hitiachi drive is actually recognized as F: and not something else

maybe you have to extract the firmware pack to the x-lg folder first, not to sure cause i havent had any luck with flashing my hitachi v59dj which i cannot get recognized in windows!
