Ok basically i insert the enable 0800 disc and wait 10-15 seconds then turn on my pc and my pc will freeze at the windows load screen, i know its not my pc because i used my friends and it did the same thing, i burned 0800 on a dvd+r not a dual layer I dont want to waste a 3 dollar disc that why i used a regular disc, thats all i could think of being the problem.

0800.iso needs to be burned on a Dual layer DVD......cheap skate lol

things to avoid over $3

Mode B complete :D
Drive ready to be seen in windows :D
No trip to a friends :D
1x dvd+r
no need to post on a forum :D
Time that could have been saved approx 1.5 hours

It is possible that when windows is detecting your Xbox drive it hangs.
I had a similar issue check my post
http://www.360mods.net/Forums/viewtopic/t=736.html
I am not sure what other software you have installed similar to DLA but that to can cause your issue when it is attempting get drive information from your Xbox DVD drive.

okay what i did when i had this problem was

connected the drive to my pc via sata.
booted my comp let windows load.
turned on my xbox and loaded my enable0080 disc and everything worked fine.
if it doesnt go to device manager and disable your sata card and then re enable.

windows used to hang untill I updated the drivers for my VT6421A card from viaarena.com, but the drive still isn't detected.

I had the same SATA card and the hang issue. But after updating the driver to the latest, windows can now boot and detech the 360 drive. I got the VIA RAID 540a or something version.
