Wire install.. can't find any tutorials

Perhaps i'm just blind but I can't seem to find any tutorials on how to do the wire install with the X3. Anyone know of one?

Edit: Yes, I am blind. Realized nothing really changes in the pin header tutorial other then using item 10.

You may wonder why i'm doing the wire install. I have a 1.0 xbox and considering i'm brand new to soldering i'm debating just doing a wire install so I won't have to desolder the LPC holes. (yeah, i'm practicing soldering a sh*tload first). I still haven't made up my mind. The pin header install seems the most professional but those damn LPC holes with solder already in them are making me paranoid. Any comments or suggestions for a newbie solderer/modchip install would be cool too.

Removing the solder from LPC holes is fairly easy. It's all down to 'right tools for the right job'.

Get some desoldering braid - it's perfect for extracting solder from components and PCBs..

It's seriously easier to just desolder the holes than solder each of those wires individually...plus the chip is more secure when it sits down onto the pinheader

I used a $7 solder sucker from radioshack and did it very quickly and painlessly

yer just get a good desolderer and it works great clear the holes put the pin head in solder it job done. or buy the solderless when its out to buy (if its not already)
