I'm messing with a 1.0 box trying the wire install. It was my understanding that you didnt need to remove the mobo and do the LAN/HD and LED wires...then while searching I came accross this:

Here's what you do..
Remove MoBo, flip it over and install the LAN/HD LED Wires and D0. Follow this

Next, Follow this diagram, and install the LPC wires:

can anyone clarify??? thanx.

Yes, you will need to flip the board to solder the LAN/HDD wires.

You could use the top d0 and sacrifice the LAN HDD LEDs (mask the wires), but the difficulty of soldering it versus removing the board and using the bottom point doesn't warrant it.

It's quite a lot harder - the d0 via takes a level of skill which personally speaking, isn't worth risking the job when the bottom d0 is much easier.

bottom

try the bottom d0. I have been trying for a couple of days to try to get the top d0 to work for me but it won't. The only thing i have to say is be careful with the bottom d0 b/c if you mess that up, then it sucks.
