Hey all,
Is there a wiring diagram for the X3? I installed my last chip by myself, was actually my first solder job, and it came out fine. I dont know alot about desoldering, and would feel more comfortable just doing a wire install. Do instruction to do this exsist yet? If so please post a link.

thanks

Best DVD drive for ripping?

okay so I've been looking around for a decent ripper for my 360.
Seems people really like http://www.pcplanetsystems.com/abc/product_details.php?category_id=145&item_id=3451 aka Pioneer 115D
Hoping to find a cheaper product that'd be fine for the up and coming games.

Also let me know if it might just be better to go buy a samsung one and 0800 it.

sorry but also wondering how large the gap is "game wise" between firmware 1.5 and 1.6? i = noob

Xbox Info:

Model: Older arcade non-hdmi
DVD: Hitachi 59
Firmware: latest
Live: Never plan to go gold

Re: Best DVD drive for ripping?

hitachi drive will play any wave game, for ripping you need a 0800 drive, I like the samsung 24x drive for burning games

Does having an 0800 require a connectivity kit?
I don't want to power via 360.

Hitachis are very particular with burners though. BenQ's are compatible with almost every burner from my experience (used an old Sony drive, 7240s Optiarc, and a Hitachi burner).

Re: Best DVD drive for ripping?

What about a 16P9SV Lite-On? Im not looking to get another burner but just a DVD reader dive. My NEC 3550A is doing great but I like having a seperate drive for ripping to save the life of my burner plus its not the best reader.

Re: Best DVD drive for ripping?

for ripping you want an xbox drive! NOT Hitachi (no 0800 fw available)
would personally go for a liteon
