Hello again,

I have just completed the nand-x install, and installed the ALT-SMC Jtag without QSB but by using just the wires and installed a wire between J2D2.4 and J2D2.7 in this guide

http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55189

I have been able to install Xell and Freeboot. I now have 9199 dash and it boots fine with no errors. But the controllers won't sync!!!

I read in another post somewhere about flashing back my original 7371 nand using the nand-x (with no bad blocks btw) still my controllers won't sync.

Full batteries, have tried leaving it off for a period of time (30 mins)

Any ideas people? Have i broken the wireless part on front of the xbox?

1. Did the controller sync with the same console before attempting the JTAG?

2. Try writing the original NAND back and see if the controller will sync then?

3. Try a different RF board

4. Did you previously attempt to do the JTAG via ROL & DB1F1 before using the alternate points?

Evening,

1. yes the controller sync-ed before.
2. Re-flashed nand with original. Dash returned to 7371. No Sync
3. I only have the one xbox 360. am unable to try another.
4. Did previously attempt to solder the Jtag Kit #2 QSB to J2D2 without success. But didn't touch the ROL or DB1F1.

Many thanks for the quick reply.

I'm pretty sure now that it's either motherboard or RF board related. Look around, someone must have a spare RF board around.

Again thanks for the quick reply.

I've ordered a board. If this does not fix it and it is the motherboard are they usually fixable. As i don't think i messed the board badly. And can you reccomend anybody to take a look for me?

Well the only safe presumption is that if the controller worked perfectly prior to the JTAG and if it still works fine with another consoles then it's got to be the console it self or the RF board that has the problem.

is it booting to m$ dash or freestyle or similar, try unplugging all hard drives and mem cards and try then, some early alt dashes cased issues with sync ing.

UPDATE:

Hi all,

After dissasembling again to do the UT61 Bridge to stop the M$ updates. I double checked the RF Board for any damage and spotted a tiny weeny solder splash on the board. Flicked it off and the controllers are now sorted and syncing properly!!!

I am now the proud owner of a properly working jtag-ed Flacon by following the Alt smc wiring tutorial on this site. I now have freestyledash, xexmenu, and a couple of emulators installed.

Thankyou Team-Xecuter, and anybody who has taken the time to writen a tutorial for noobs like me to follow.
