Wiring the CR4 XL to a jasper

Im just looking for a wiring guide. all the guides on here seem to be using nandx or v2 qsb's. Can the CR4 XL just be installed by itself without the qsb and programmer? I just want the most basic install that will work.

Im using a Phat Jasper console.

I wanted to do r-jtag+ Thanks for the link to that guide but its for rgh and I dont have sufficient privileges to start a post asking for the r-jtag guide.

The first thing that John Mathews should have mentioned, is that no matter what hack you use, a nand programmer of some sort is a necessity. Be it a jr programmer, or a nand x. the next would be to ask for the hack type. the only thing that is needed as far as the qsb is concerned, is the 5v, and B point. the b point found looking at a coolrunner guide, and the 5v point is the one by itself. you can wire the nand points with the wires.

So I installed the CR4 XL using Nooberts guide for directly wiring the CR4 XL to the board, the red light on the CR4 is on and when I start the xbox it just boots to the dashboard like normal, the CR4 does not appear to be doing anything. Is there something else I need to do for the CR4 to work or is it bad wiring? I have no idea where to go from here. I took some pics of the solder points if that helps. If it helps in diagnosing the problem, I also have a j-r programmer v2 that I could hook up.
