I recently purchased an x3 chip, installed it correctly flashed the bios with 1959. I installed a 40gig drive. I loaded EvoX, dvd2xbox, and avalaunch. My origanal xbox hdd was lost so I borrowed my friends stock drive to grab the xbox dash but when I connect his drive it won't boot to x3 live, I thought there maybe something wrong with his drive so I diconnected it and still nothing. I thought the x3 would boot up to the 1959 even without a hdd? am I wrong? What Gives?

If you rip a HDD from another Xbox and it's locked (original drive or upgraded/manually locked), it will not boot to X3 Config Live. This is a limitation of the Xbox, not the chip/BIOS.
1. Go back to your friends box and put the HDD back in,
2. Unlock the drive whilst in there (either with the X3 Disk Tools, EvoX dash or ConfigMagic),
3. Then use the unlocked HDD in your box.

probably harder than c++...c++ is used more in the game creation industry rather than the firmware...probably using hex

ofcourse! I use my benq online without any problems. But you can go online with every firmware, the point is if you can get caught or not. Only time can tell usguyver2077 said:cant wait for some feedback on this fw...
