Wont Bootup With Modchip Disabled, Error 21

I have a xecuter 2.6 on a xbox 1.6. It was working fine when I first modded it. It would boot up with the modchip off or on. Now it only boots up with the modchip enabled. When I disable the switch to boot up the msdashboard it boots up with the service repair screen 21.

I already used the Evox dashboard option to LOCK the hard drive. Still doesn't work.

Anyone have any ideas. Thanks

If you accidently booted the xbox with the chip disabled and the HDD ulocked , I think that this can cause problems.


If you have a backup of your xboxes C:/ drive - Ftp that back on to your xbox and then try to boot to ms dash - ( Make sure that the HDD is locked! )

If you do not have a backup of your C:/ drive You may have to do a full restore using a boot disc to bring your dash back to its original settings.

Always make backups of your Drives when attempting any mod that involves your HDD.

you just described error 5 - unlocked HD..... xboxscene says "21 was the highest number I could find, I dont think anynthing is past that. And for the unknown ones, I couldn't find anyreference to them at all, I don't believe they are used."
