LITEON 83850 v2 wont flash

right lads haveing a bit of a hard time here with a liteon 83850 v2 it has xecuter lt switch installed when i get it into vendor mode and hit read the drive sticks on loading mtk flash source file i cant even get it out off vender mode here is what its saying thanks lads

all the fimware is in the folder the problem is if i hit outro the drive does show up so i cant even use the probe

What dash is the console on?

Edit:- Actually titcave is right you need the Probe 3 because it is a v2 8xxxx series drive and these needed PMT but probe 3 does away with PMT (i.e. no cutting traces).

With probe 3 you just probe MPX01 :)

Are you leaving the LT switch in RW mode???

You know you have to :

  • intro the drive then
  • switch LT to RW
  • when you get 0x72 switch back to normal straight away!!
This is an old video i made about using Xecuter LT tools.
Uses the same techniques even though it's old ;)

ive done it that way but after i save the lit-ofw firmware all im getting is Loading MTK_Flash source file at the drive sticks there im not getting no error the way it shows u in the video tea junkie mate and cant get the drive out off vendor mode

well since the new dashboard made all liteons the same, all you have to do is probe with phatkey to get your dummy.bin, click yes to autoload 2.0, then do liteon erase, and write. You shouldn't have to intro or read ofw at all.

To get the disc recognized again, try outro, turn off ck3, unplug drive completely, close JF. Then reattach, turn back on, open JF and see if it finds it.

i cant as its saying no drive detected even if i hit refresh i0 port

i have the origonal Lite-OFW from previous dump when it was down cant find the dummy file but i saved Lite-OFW

allso if i try to load the lite ofw while its in ender mode i get this Loading firmware file C:\Documents and Settings\KIERAN\My Documents\Lite-OFW.bin

right lads\ quick update i have the origonal dummy file but i have renamed it and when i try to load the file i get firmware file must be 256kb i tryed to rename the file to Dummy but still says same thing

got it sorted in case any one has the same problem as my self heres how i got my dummy bin i had origonally saved the Lite-OFW and key file i was able to rebuild the dummy using jungleflasher rebuild serial data . Case Barcode2. PCB Barcode
