Won't load MS Dash

I just put in a hard from an old xbox in to my 1.6. I use X3 to format the drive. I put back the "C & E" folders from the original HD back to the new HD. Now the XBOX just loads to Config Live and won't load the MS Dash. Can someone tell me where I get info on this or lend a hand, foot, fingernail, or somethin.

Have you tried holding in the power button for a second to disable the chip?

I do hold the Power button down for like 3 seconds. My LCD comes up red, then frags, then goes in Config Live.

Did you lock the drive? Ms Dash won't work if the HD isn't locked.
You have to make sure that you didn't change the MsDash files name at all.

I used Evox to lock my HD, and from Evox I can boot to the MSDash.
Make sure that all the files and folders on your old C drive are back on the new C drive. All the files....

Yea it was locked. It's a good thing it didn't work because I was trying to see if Live would work and after reading up on it I would have banned my XBOX. Thax for the replies.

It has to be a connection problem. I put me orginal HD in and it does the same. Thanx for the ya'll.
