Hi there guys. I have asked Martin before about this and he's been very kind to help me, but I guess I'm to stupid to understand :C

Alright, so I got an RGH xbox. The main trouble I am having is with updating Minecraft. I press Y, go to Title Update Manager, press Y, it downloads all of them, I activate the top one (Version 8), play the game - but it's still outdated. I can tell because there is no hunger or sprint or whatever. so then I try to download an update from http://www.xbuc.net/ . I put it in OnBoardMU/cache (with a small C ),
restart the console, turn on the game - still nothing. Then I read that
"Many newer updates with filenames such as tu00000002_00000000 need to be placed in the Content partition of the hard drive or main memory stick. /partition3/content/0000000000000000/<TITLEID>/000B0000/"
And the Update that I downloaded is in fact one called
"tu00000001_00000000", so I went to my games folder, went to 584111F7, made a new folder called 000B0000, put the update in there, restart the console, run the game - still nothing. Could someone please help me? I am trying to play on the newest version but I can't... Thanks

Could I trouble you for the correct steps?

Any chance I could get some insight into how others have solved this problem? Every TU up to TU7 works just fine (aka, all the TUs that go in the cache). However, TU 7-13 appear to do absolutely nothing (created a 000B0000 folder in 584111F7, pretty much exactly like the OP). Do I need to move Minecraft off my external hard drive?

Sorry if the solution to this problem is readily apparent, I only use my jtag sporadically and even back when I played more frequently I was the epitome of a noob. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes - minecraft needs to be in an MU storage for the new updates, or at least a Content\0000000000000000\584111F7\000B0000 folder created on your IntHDD/MU storage for the TU.

Personally I'd go for the former. If you have an external HDD, you really should have 32gb of MU allocated on it anyway.

Well I reformatted my external HDD with 16gb of MU, but I hit a few snags. First, (and maybe I should have mentioned this previously) for some reason the FSD File Manager won't let me move any of the minecraft TUs around. Any time I try to move/delete/copy them, it freezes, so instead I transferred the TUs via xexmenu. Unfortunately, I can't access the MU section of my external HDD via xexmenu, so I'm unable to move the TUs onto the MU memory. If there's an easy fix for this problem, or if I'm doing something wrong, I'd greatly appreciate some advice. Otherwise I'll post something on realmodscene.

My other problem is that even when I place minecraft on my internal (Content\0000000000000000\584111F7\000D0000), and add the minecraft TU (Content\0000000000000000\584111F7\000B0000), nothing appears to change. All TUs I am using were downloaded from marketplace.jqe360, and appear to be legitimate. Also, do I need all 13 TUs, or just the most recent?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice, I'm totally lost at this point on what to do next.

Having a similar issue myself. Have minecraft with TU16 running no probs on my boys phat console but on my demon slim it wont run with TU16, it goes to the title screen then locks the box. It runs fine with no title update or TU15, although with TU15 it wont say its been updated, so guessing it didn't accept it. I have the game installed on the USBMU, done the title updates through FSD and still locks. Not quite sure what to try next. All other xbla games I have run fine. Any pointers guys gratefully accepted.

I'm having trouble with Minecraft as well. I purchased the disc version and copied it to my ext HDD using FSD, like i do with all of my games, however it will only allow me to play the trail version from the ext HDD. FSD is not finding any TUs to download. I have read through the previous posts, but i think they pertain to the downloaded arcade version.

edit: i noticed that there is a TU on the disc. Should i copy that over? If so, where?

in Dashlaunch set contpatch=true....see what happens

seems odd that you are having that issue with the disc version though

the disc version is just xbla on a cd, you will need to extract the content and play it as you would XBLA
I've never had to extract content for an XBLA game. Can you provide a few instructions or a link I can reference?

A galaxy far far away....

extract the XBLA from the .ISO with xbox image browser and copy it to your xbox hdd

if internal you would follow the content path of 00000000000000000\58411F7\000D0000\49AAD81B9FCDA45E4A03D71BFCB353F8FADB236C58

if external add it as 58411F7\000D0000\49AAD81B9FCDA45E4A03D71BFCB353F8FADB236C58

49AAD81B9FCDA45E4A03D71BFCB353F8FADB236C58 is the XBLA
