worked for 1 year and now boots to flash bios

my box has been working for a little over a year with no problems and i randomly turn it on today and it boots up to the flash bios screen. This has never happened to me before in the past. So i flipped to switches to on on off off off and flashed the newest x3 bios via HTTP. It flashes successfully and i turn it on and the xbox power cycles it turns on for 1 second then off really quick and on and off then it frags and it doesnt boot to any screen. I can still disable to chip and put a game in and it runs fine i also can hold power and eject to get back to the flash bios screen. So im not sure what my problem is here?

Since the disable still works maybe you could try and use a boot disc like AID with the x3 erase epprom on it and maybe that would get rid of any of your problems. Then after your chip is erased you could flash it with the x3 bios you were going to flash it with.

Like DJ said it could be the wrong bios also. But you would probably have to erase the chip like I said so that you could reflash it.

ya i flashed the right bios. I havent tried what he said in the above reply...but after it power cycles a few times it then FRAGS....also where is AID with the x3 erase epprom at on the xbins ftp?

just download the one at the bottom that says torrent link next to it and then go through the download process, but read the directions at the bottom on the download page.

make sure u name it, BIOS.BIN just like that or it wont flash it correctly
