HELP PLZ I have search posts and found no problems exactly like mine. Not sure if I am SOL or not.
First let me say I have an XBOX 1.0. I soldered in the chip socket and the three wire points for th eXecuter3 chip. threw in a 60 GB Hdisk and buttoned it all up. Powered up good and flashed the bios to 1959 no problem. I then installed the Slayer Dash along with some Emulators and misc files no problem as well. I then played a couple of MP3's no problem. I played a MAME game and could not figure out how to end so I powered the box off. When I powered it back up I heard the Slash screen sound but had no display.
Now heres what I have tried so far. I got the same response when trying to boot with the Chip disabled by pressing and holding the power till red. I am able to boot to the Back up Bios by pressing both power and Eject at the same time to power up and I do get the Bios Splash screen. I tried putting back in the original Hdisk and same symtoms. I tried removing the chip from the socket and hooking back up the power button and same symptoms. I put back in the 60 GB drive and the chip, Booted to the Backup Bios screen and Httping intop the box to flash the bios again, it didn't give me the pretty prgress bar this time but did respond with a message and also powerd it self down when done, however this did not seem to do anything. I have not yet checked my Soldering, but will. But like I said even without the chip inserted into the socket I still have the issue. I am new to the XboX Modding world and would appreciate any HELP!!!! I get. Thanks

Where are you?

have you switched video modes - pal->ntsc or something like that,

what kind of telly are you using, a lot of newer pal tellys will play ntsc but this doesn't help you much,

Read the faqs on the Enigmah video mode switch disk,

If you have another telly, try iton there and see if it works.

Re: dvd error on 360 slim

sounds like a dodgy sata lead or maybe the drive its self has gone faulty
why open the console to clean it when its in warranty
just take it back

correction, you CAN get the key

you just don't have firmware (original or hacked) to flash onto the drive

Re: dvd error on 360 slim

if you go to xbox.com and register it, it'll tell you how long is left on the warranty.

no need to get antsy about it, its just common knowledge.. well at least i thought it was.

Re: dvd error on 360 slim

They have only been out 2 months. Even if it was pre-owned it would still have a warranty....until you opened it.
