Hi all i am messing around with a spare xbox 1.6b (lpc mod done) and have a fooked 2.6ce maybe its a bad flash or a flash for a 1.0 - 1.5 xbox.

what i have been doing is running a soft mod to boot to evo x or x unleash, i have ftp'ed the 1.6 flash ot the xbox so ftp is good but is there any xbox software that can i can run from the xbox and point it to the flash i need on the harddisk.

if i can do that i could then put the fraged 2.6 on the header and try to flash it that way.

if anyone can tell me what software the xbox can run that flashes direct ile give it a go and report it back to you all....baz

ps i havnt got a spare chip to boot the xbox and dont want to soft mod the xbox (i dont even think the onboard 1.6b is flash upgradable anyway)

cheers m8,got it from xbins .

i done a swap chip method but i only have a x3ce and it kept saying enable flash when i plugged the 2.6 in(i did not connect the d0 point so thats where i may have gone wrong) ile try again tomorrow or maybe just buy another chip....cheers...baz
