Would I have a 1.6b version?

I'm about to purchase a brand new system with manufacturer date of October 11, 2004. Would this be a version 1.6b?

nm, sticky says "1. Manufacture Date after 2004-9-13. " so thats my answer.

I just did an xbox for a friend of mine that we just bought monday. It was dated 10-14-2004 and it is a 1.6, not 1.6b. Has the samsung ram and flashbios 3.0.1 that came pre flashed worked perfect.

upgrading liteon from 1.5 to 1.5.1

I'm going to upgrade from 1.5 to 1.5.1 is it worth re getting the key.bin and what not or should i just use the dummy.bin that i made when i first flashed the drive?.

Oh i'm going to put 1.5.1 on because i want to play any image, i'm not bothered about live banning \ issues online as i dont' play on live.

doesn't 1.6.1 not play if there is any issues with the backup? if it will play all backups then i'll just put that on.

dont do 1.6 as youll need the activate disc for newer games

use 1.61
