I've looked at what to buy for a chip for over a week, looking at forums. Can someone please let me know if the Xecuter 2.6CE works well with bios version 5032 for a version 1.4 console? I think that 1.0 to 1.5 works the same way.

I've been looking at sites and some site claim that they have a lite version of the X2.6CE chip and some doesn't specify. Is there a difference between the two? I'm looking to solder the chip and I know that the solderless version in the Plus version, but I didn't think that the newest X2 chip was reffered as either lite or pro.

Thanks

X2.6 CE is the only current chip in the 2 series (or, thats the impression I get)

The 5032 bios was made by the Xecuter team for the X2 series of chips, it also works on lots of other chips.

So yes, an X2 bios will work great on an X2 chip.

Make sure you get 5305, it's the latest one and gives you a couple more toys to play with.

There are two .bin files you'll get when you get the bios (read the readme)
There's one labeled 1.6 and one labeled Old. For your 1.5 box or lower you'll use the "Old" bios. (which isn't really an old bios, but for old xboxs)

Just to make clear, 5035 is the latest Bios version. ;)
