Hi all

I've got a used slim arriving soon to add to my collection and thinking of the Proto V2.... Can anyone advise me these questions please..

I'll first say my soldering quality - Average

Is the Proto v2 an install you could recommend a noob could carry out... My soldering can be good BUT sometimes I can drop too much solder , always able to lift excess off with the soldering iron though....

Any detailed guides because I can't find them?

How would I read the Nand - I have a J R Programmer

Or is it just best to wait for Xecuter to bring out something developed from this product?

As far as I am aware the V2 is the last model for the slim as it does everything perfectly. There are less wires to connect and less tweaking needed than any other coolrunner so is the easiest. You just need to be comfortable with soldering on the post out QSB as this has the tightest area to solder into if you say you put too much solder on all the rest is straight forward.

Hi All .... I just wanted to let people know I have completed my Proto V2 install and up to now all is working great;)

I do have a question if some one could help please..... I never updated to the latest Dashboard so how do I upgrade to the current dashboard now?

Im sure the answer is on the Forum somewhere but I can't find it!!! Bet it's facing me and can't see it for looking! Lol

any other ideas what TX products I could add to this console now and what benefit I would get from it Or is this completed now? also I bought this console as faulty and I repaired it so don't know if it is banned, the person who I bought it from did say wasn't though!

I do have another slim console that has Proto V2 & a Demon installed but I never did that mod, I think the Demon would be too complicated to do myself .

It's in my RGH roadmap for noobies:
Q: My JTAG is on 7371 / My RGH1 is on 13604 / My RGH2 is on 14719 - does this mean I can't play the newest games without losing my exploit?
A: Not at all. Your starting dash version has no bearing on what dashboard you can build for your console.
In short, you just build the latest version using your original or existing NAND as source. Either that or use the update feature in J-Runner (read P22 of the PDF).
