Wrong bios install any way to undo??

ok so i finally got my xecuter 3 CE working on my v1.6 and in my excitement stupidly flashed 3294 instead of the 3294 v16. i can still get to my backup. if i use the backup 256 and choose flash will it let me flash whatever my switches are set to? or am i outta luck...
any help would be great!

Update: read about a trick where i was able to boot in a 3.0.3 Flashbios from one of the 256s and then switched switches back to the 1234. now it goes solid red on the 256 bank, and powers up w. chip enabled for about 1 second, green light on the eject button, and just shuts off

boot to backup bank power eject at same time have switch set to on on off off off then flash it with x3 3294 v16 plus bios it will flash the main banks not backup bank
to flash the backup bank you need to do that in x3 config but you have a v1.6 xbox so you need flashbios 3.0.1 for it to work whitch is on backup bank allready

ok... tried that and to the same ends... could it be that i got a bad bios file? my on on off off is starting up for about 1 second showing the chip enabled, then shutting down

x3 3294 for v1.0 to v1.5 xboxs
x3 3294 v16 plus for v1.6 v1.6b xboxs
were did you get bios if not xbins do so
so you get flashbios 3.0.1 screen when in backup bank power eject
you do flash and then reboot to find it did not work
you do have the standed bios bank switch (black with white switchs or the pro switch push buttons that light up when on

ok... its the pro switch but ill try flash again with the standard.. got it from Xbins... could the file be corrupt if i got it a few days ago?

Edit: nope same deal with the standard even w. reflash. should i snag a diff bios? say try to put on evox or flashbios again just for kicks to see i f those work/

Edit: just tried to flash back to 3.0.1 which is what i started on: nada, very quick 2 boots then frags...

ok if its the pro switch the frist button is flash protect it needs to be off (red out) then other switch need to be on on off off (in in out out)
so when you flash it erace the old bios then install new one as in this guide

what bios are you flashing to the chip

ok tried to do the disc install, got lucky i guess and my CD-R worked first try, but still same symptoms, only this time when i had the switch connected it flashed amber only, and then went back to green and off when i flashed without any switch. should i try an evox just incase? can always reflash.

Edit: evox for 1.6 did not work either...

boots 3 times then frags

still using the backup bios to try to flash if that makes any difference

however, just noticed that as i am flashing the led on front flashes green dark amber dark

try re downloading x3 3294 bios from xbins try flashing it
if that dose not work try this remove the bios switch from chip disconect it from chip then boot up in backup bank then flash with x3 3294 v16 plus it will flash the 1234 banks by default

yeah... same deal... orange and green flashing ONLY on bios install. thinking that has something to do with it. Might try a topic just about that possibly..
