Wrong bios installed, need help resolving.

if your still getting a frag after flashing the chip by hotswap it counld be your install
do hotswap and flash the chip with flashbios for your xbox then if install is ok you will get flashbios
flashbios 3.0.1 v1.0 to v1.6 xbox but not v1.6b
flashbios 3.0.3 v1.0 to v1.5 and v1.6b xbox but not v1.6

If the Xbox wont boot without the chip, then forget about flashing the bios. You've bigger problems to get sorted first.
Remove the install and get the xbox working stock, then start the install again.

well my xbox wont boot w/o tec cihp either, but with the chip is does just fine, i think overwrited the xbox bios or something

i get FRAG whe the chip is not installed, but on my xbo when the chip is on then it just boots right to the xecuter bios.

My XBOX: v1.6 and Xecuter 3CE unknown bios
Roomates XBOX: v1.5 and Xecuter 3CE with X3_3294.bin bios

My xbox used to get error messages every once in a while, but none for quite a while now. For his xbox, his chip wont boot to the bios in his but will in mine, we relfashed the bios many times and it shuts off and everything, but when we go the reboot it, it just FRAGs again. Its like the bios is there but the chip is not seeing it.



I have posted a link to a video above in a previous post that i did of what is going on with the chip and xboxes.

He is flashing his 1.6 box with the wrong bios file after reading the post he was saying he is flashing with 3294.bin and he has a 1.6 box he has to get the right flash bios which is 3.0.3 and he also needs to get the right bios file 3294_v16plus.bin. After reading the post it seems after the failed flash he keeps trying to hotswap with a 3294.bin and not a v16plus.bin.

i think it would help everybody out a lot more than me posting all the time. :)

o btw that x2 bios and not swicth didnt work

Here is what happened from the start....

Once i soldered his chip (X3CE) into his xbox (v1.5), i flashed the X3_3294_v16plus.bin bios to it (bad idea). His chip will NOT boot in his xbox. It will only boot in mine (v1.6, has an X3CE in it) and in the 256K backup mode (power and eject button combo), but its wierd, everytime i flash a new bios to it, it goes through the process and everything, then shuts down. But when i go to reboot it, it FRAGs like it couldnt load or find the bios i just flashed to it. The video shows whats going on. PLZ WATCH IT!!!! :D:D:D

that is correct it shouldnt boot his x-box it whould only boot your eachof your box's needs different bios's

OK, I've watched the video. Which bios are flashing to the chip in your Xbox?

i am flashing the X3_3294.bin to the chip while its in my 1.6 xbox. But its wierd, once the bios is flashed, its like the chip cant find it, it just does the exact same thing.

You need to flash it with a 1.6 bios to work in a 1.6 xbox. Or flash a non 1.6 bios and put back in the no 1.6 xbox.

idk if u guys dont read my posts thoroughly but i said the bios once flashed doesnt boot PERIOD.

anyways he returned his chip and bought a new one, so hopefully case closed :)
