Wrong Bios on version 1.6b

Hi all,
I installed the X3CE succesfully.
then i i did a big mistake by flashing a "3294" bios instead of "3294 v16plus" on the only bank that worked (5678).
i tried to load from another bank, NON OF THEM IS WORKING (probably empty banks or non v1.6b biose's)

how should i load a flashBios again to the chip ??
p.s
i tried to use the backup but it isnt working !!!!!!!!!!

You can put the chip into an older xbox and boot from on,on,off,off (which will work )then flash this bank with 3294.reboot and go into x3 bios and update the backup bios to 3.0.3, then refit the chip back into the 1.6 and boot from the backup which will now work and flash off,on,off,off with the correct 3294 v 1.6 plus.
The only other way I know of is to fit the chip in an older xbox as before and boot on,on,off,off then when you are at the flashbios screen change switches to off,on,off,off and flash with the v1.6 bios, then refit the chip in the 1.6 and boot from off,on,off,off.

Erm...There aren't any other solutions, except get another X3 and try a hotswap...

I suppose you could always return the chip to your supplier and ask them to reflash it for you, but I would expect to be charged for this service as it's not a fault of the chip.

Yep Know what you are going through mate did almost the exact same thing. Fraid there is only one solution so I hope you got the chip from some understanding suppliers.

Basically some of the chips seem to only have the 1 BIOS on them and no back up (use that angle when you get back in contact with them as there should have been a back up.)

I had to send it back to them and get them to reflash it but they made sure this time to put a back up on the chip on a different bank.

No alternative unless you have the same equipment they have, or somebody else has a better idea.

The only equipment you need is an X3 modded Xbox.

The back-up bios is there, it just doesn't work with a v1.6b

Like adam says, there is a backup bios on the chip.
The chip is flashed with cromwell flashbios v 3.0.1 on bank 1234 and on the backup. This works on all xboxs except v1.6b which need to have v3.0.3 which is flashed to bank 5678.
So the chip is correctly set up for the vast majority of users and there is no angle to come from apart from being honest and asking politely.
The other alternative is to buy another chip and flash that correctly and sell the first one already flashed to a friend with an older xbox.
