Wrong lpt solderpoints - now 0022

hello,

first excuse my bad english as im am writing from germany..

my prob: I followed a dubious tutorial on the jtag hack.

To make thing short: I soldered the correct points on the xbox board, but ended up with swapped soldering points on the lpt side. With this setup, my PC couldnt detect a flash controller. When I tried to start the box again, I saw a 0022 after 20 sec. Then I followed a better tutorial and could read the first 2mb of my (already corrupted?) nand. I saved this file. Then i tried to write xell to the nand, which probably worked, but still get the 0022 error. After start, the box first shows the 4 green blinking lights but after 20 sec the rod shows up. The aircoolers (wrong word ?) are on 100% while trying to boot.

I guess, the box is ruined, right? Or is there sth. I could try before throwing it away?

The box is an exploitable jasper ..was exploitable

1. Pictures of your soldering please?

2. Did you dump your whole NAND or got a backup of it?

3. Did you try removing the wires from the board and see if your console will boot as normal?

Bit of history on the console and what you done to it would help. Personally don't think it will be practical or wise doing a Jasper with LPT port due to the size of NAND on these babies.

I will make a photo later, but the soldering is (now) okay. The soldering-quality on the board was good, too (i dont havea good electronic knowledge, but i am a good solderer).

I only dumped the first 2 mb (sadly AFTER the 0022). It is a 16mb jasper.

I also removed all cables, but no change-still 0022.

I will now write the first 2mb to the nand and compare it with my saved file. Then try to write xell and also compare it via dump. Dont think i will succeed, but what else can i do?

The history of my "work": Just had swapped lpt connections.. One of the wires has 3 volts, right? Maybe that ruined my nand (but it`s still accessible..)

Before you write the 2mb back, try clearing the console by holding the sync button and power up button when you boot the console and see what happens.

As you mentioned you swapped 2 of the wires incorrectly on the computer side, providing that booth points had the 100ohm resistor it still might not have caused a damage but this remains to be seen.

no change.. still the delayed rod. It seems to boot with green light but then stops. No video, no sound..

Before I go on flashing silly things: What are the minimum requirements for the console to booot? I have erased the complete nand and flashed the 1.28mb xell file. Should that be enough to boot or is the file meant to be injected in the original nand (which i dont have-i only have the first 2mb..and they are corrupted perhaps).

I also have 2 blocks which cant be written or erased. They are behind the first 50 blocks (the first is in a2). With the bad blocks, I am not able to build a clean original nand, i think.

So i am stuck here with no CPU Key. I can write to the nand though. I have flashed the 1.28mb file and read it. The flash is okay.

Btw: Its a 6712 jasper. I have checked all fuses i could find on the board and they seem to be okay.

Any tips or files for me? Could I buy (or if so would be so gentle and give me one) a kv with matching CPU Key and try to reanimate the console? The prob is that even before any writing to the nand, i got the problem after i connected the wrong lpt interface to the computer. So maybe it cleared or corrupted my kv.bin or sth. in the nand before i was able to dump the nand.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: did you say you have erased the full Nand??? and then flashed xell? .not sure on your best options as your only giving limited infomation,,,,,before any soldering or nand reading/writing,did your console
have the RROD,which you had fixed?
which guide did you try following from?
what programs where you using?
which points on your board did you solder to/and which ones were incorrect?
did you use any Resistor's??? as well as use Diodes???

As MWN said above we need photo and more infomation to be able to help you save the console before its to late mate.

My console was fine before the soldering. But it is the delayed (20 sec or so) RROD.. presumably sth with my nand (not overheated or sth.)

Yes, i erased the full nand.. not a good idea. But i think, the wrong soldering did sth. to my nand (maybe corrupted the kv.bin), because after connecting it to my pc, i had the RROD (with no writings to the nand and disconnected jtag-connections). I write with nandpro/jtag tool 1.74.. same results (which are: I can read & write the nand.. but my files to be written are probably sh*t)

So is there hope for the box? Could i get a nand backup with kv.bin (and cpu-key) to try to boot to xell?

The wrong cables were only the lpt connections ( on the board side they are okay, but they were messed up on the cpmputer side). The jtag wires were always in the correct place. I used all the 100 ohm resistores and diodes as well.

btw: I flashed with jtag tool 1.74 and no power, no boot. When i read the nand, i get error 240 for all the blocks. I flash different xell images and no read errors. Maybe sth. is wrong with the xell delivered with the jtag tool?

My prob still remains. I know that the delayed 0022 is often a bad/wrong kv.bin and probably mine is bad, too.

What else can i do to get xell starting?

.. i've read a bit and it seems that the console is bricked..

no kv.bin (mine obviously doesnt work) and no cpu key-that's it..

the console was exploitable but without xell starting - no way to recover
