Has anyone else had the wrong temps. being displayed (just CPU and Mobo, HD seems accurate) in Evox, and the skin while using a 1.6b with a X3?

Guys...
Do some searching on 1.6 and temperature...last I heard the X3 ( and no other chip to my knowledge ) will correctly read temps on a 1.6. Supposedly MS removed or moved the temp sensors...
I've heard of no fix for this and none pending...and yep I've got a 1.6!!!

Yeah....thats what I read today too. Bummer, kinda nice to know hot hot it's running.

Well at the moment I'm on holidays and being bored i decided to check out flashing for the xbox 360.
So far i know i have a Hitachi 3120L.
I was just wondering after I've opened it all up will i need any other hardware? i see people mentioning a specific PCI-E card that should be used. I have SATA ports on my motherboard and was wondering if i need that PCI card or not.
Is there a large chance that i will irreversibly damage something? if so what and how much of a risk is there.
Also my xbox is old, like 2006-2008

you can most likely use the onboard sata
but please read the jungleflasher tutorial then read it again
before you start.
its a fairly simple process but if you dont read and follow the tut properly you will brick the drive

Well I've read the guide once >.> but i have watched this tutorial on youtube a couple of times, and the only difference i can spot out would be using LTplus not iextream or what ever it was called.
