Hi, I have an RGH Slim with a busted DVD Drive.
I am trying to extract ISO's using WXRipper from my Laptop to use the ISO's to later change them using ISO2GOD and then put onto RGH. My problem I think is because I have a laptop and it is not seeing a hot swap when replacing a DVD dual layer MOVIE disc with the Xbox 360 game disc and extracting the ISO. It only makes a 250mb ISO image. You can google Wxripper steps and I have followed 2 videos so I think the steps are right. I am pretty much using these steps. Place big dual layer disc into laptop dvd drive. Im using Dr. Dre Up in Smoke. It is almost 8gb. I then use magnifier to get secret number, then I save the ltf or what it is I replace the letter C to D as needed then save. I then stop the drive I use paperclip to eject and then I replace discs to my laptop dvd drive using a paperclip to manually eject. I then extract as needed. It starts to make ISO image as usual but it makes only 250mb file and is done rather quickly. I think my problem is because I have a laptop and when manually or pressing the eject it is not seeing any difference because when I replace discs my laptop automatically whirr's like auto reading and it is not seeing the hot swap so I can extract. I have went into Win7 properties to stop auto playing but it still seems to auto read it again when doing either method.
I am running Win7 Ultimate 32bit
I am wondering if anyone knows a good external dvd drive I could try instead of the laptop as Im guessing its not working because its a laptop dvd drive and its hard to hotswap discs.
My main goal is to make ISO's of my whole library so I can put them on my RGH but I am mainly wanting to take these ISO's and use ISO2GOD and make smaller. My RGH is fully working except dvd drive is busted. Otherwise I would just use the system instead to accomplish what im doing. My RGH when inserting discs it just whirs for a split second and I am assuming its the laser. It is running FSD 3.0 with dashlaunch 3.04 and other stuff. I'd like to get more of my library onto my RGH without having to download the ISO's from online since I have the games right here and as big ISO's online take awhile to download.
