Okay, re-did it, and when it completes the first copy part, it moves to the jump section, then when it gets to the second copy part, it throws out an error saying that invalid disc in drive, reinsert the original. Pretty much, it realizes that a different disc is in there from the original one.

Now, I click continue and it finishes up skipping the second copy section and shows done. The image shows 3.64gb. Being that you stated it should be 7.05gb, I'm guessing it did not finish correctly. I read a post of yours a few spots above this, and it said that only the first 3 should be dummy and the rest the same. When you say the same, you mean to change everything else to C? or will that be pointless? Thanks for the help!

Pointless...where it was supposed to jump, basically, messed up the dvd player and tried to make it go where it cannot go... 8O

Sooo...I'm gonna try using wx360 and extract all the files. Once done, gonna make it into an ISO and go from there as far as placing the SS and burning it.

Looks like I figured out my problem. I tried connecting another burner I have via usb to my laptop. Then, when I edited the layout file, I only changed the third C to a D and left the first C as is. Now, everything is running better and getting through all the spots I had errors in.

Next, time to merge the ss.bin file and finally burn this baby! :) Thanks a lot for the help, Bacon.

Everything was a success!!! I would recommend NOT doing the emergency eject method. That gave me issues a lot and messed up the process as well. Definitely take it apart making sure you can get the magnet out from the top part OR make sure you can easily place the top on and off the drive.

Once you have that part done, and you start the swap method, save the layout AFTER clicking on the magnifying glass to get your magic number. Edit that in notepad and change ONLY the 3rd line. Change the first letter from C to D and save. Open that back up in wxRipper and dump away. Took about 15-25min for my stuff. Hope this helps you a little better.

Once done, my file was 7.05GB and the merge process was fast (about 5-10sec tops). Opened the program up, and selected which ISO file I wanted. I waited about 5-7min for it to load up because it's a huge file don't forget. Next, once done, I selected the SS file and hit the big merge button. Few seconds later, DING!

Yeah, people really need to stop using the emergency eject. It works on very few drives.

If you have a dvd DL burner, then just buy any DVD player. I bought a lite-on one for $20 thru ebay and it works great ripping the files. More than enough for me especially since I have like 4 or 5 burners around.
