X 2.6 Help (LED does not light on chip)

I have a X2.6. It worked fine for about 1 year. Now it just quit working. The box still turns on and i get the red/org flashing and a Xbox MS error screen.
The chips blue LED doesn't come on, I checked all the wire and checked it for power and all looks good, but the chip. Is there anyway to check the chip before I buy or look for a new one ??

I know you've checked the wires etc but if possible it would be a good idea just to reheat each soldered connection on the moptherboard just to be doubly sure.

Did you try changing the memory banks?
