X 2.6 + solderless help

been looking through tutorial for some time, a friend of mine gave me a 2.6 to install for him (ive only installed a 3 and a matrix mod chip so far)


well heres the thing i cant get the xbox to turn on with the mod chip on the board and im not sure how to trouble shoot that,

i put it in enable it the xbox turns on then off, on then off then on and stays on but its not working its just not trying to boot, then i disable the mod and i got the normal xbox.

not sure what my problem is exactly. any help woudl be appreciated.

change switch setting to boot 2bank and you should get flashbios then flash it with x2 5035 bios

im assuming it was bad flashes atm. im reflashing with the good bios, see if it works.

noticed somthin odd. i used a buddies 2.3 on my solderless adapter and the xbox did teh same thing wouldnt start up. im wondering if im missing anything or any other problems that could be casuing it.

check the wires that go from the chip to the external switch and make sure that both are securely in, and also that none of the wires are getting pinched

chip lets me flash the bios but still not getting anything, ive tried the chip in a box with a soldered install and it wouldnt work either does the same thing.


does it booting then shutting down mean its a bad flash?

also the 2.3 when i put in mine booted then shut down also, pretty sure its not the xbox thats the problem could it be my solderless install?

i swear nothing evre goes right for these things for me lol. miss the simplicty of my 1.0 and matrix chip

flashed flashbios 303 onto it succefully from the pc but still getting the same thing in the xbox

the xapt3r must not be making good contact with the lpc
try cleaning the lpc area and then place the xapt3r back onto the board

and are you flashing a 256k file to the chip?
any bios file you flash to the chip must be 512k

so i have to get a flashbios thats 512? pretty sure mine was 256k.

You won't find a 512k flashbios, you will have to resize it with X2 Bios Manager 2.3 which can be downloaded from Team Xecuter's downloads page.

i tried a 512 x2 bios that i got from xbins and she aint working. ill try a flash bios one also but im starting to think its my solderless mod cuase its still booting 3 times and fraggin
