X# 3029, no video just sound....

OK, I had bios 1959 in my V1.0 Xbox, I flashed the unit with the 3029 bios and it worked last night, but after I turned it off and let it sit overnight, I power up the system and I have sound, but no video. I tried re-flashing it (up to the point where the unit was a RCH away from a paper weight, had to go in and reset ALL the banks back to the cromwell 3.03, then flash it with 1959 in banks 123&4 (first two switches on on the pro switch) and tried 3029 on banks 5,6,7,&8)) When the system is using the 1959 bios, there seems to be no problems, can get into the X3 live and play games. When I switch to the 3029 bios, I get sound but no video. I have gone over the solder connections 3x with a magnifying glass and multi meter and they are solid. Just for sh*ts and giggles, I flashed the BIOS with 2914, and got sound but no video as well, re-flashed back to 1959 and everythgin is ok. Is this normal, and my Xbox cant' handle 3029? One last thing, I was using the basic 3029 versions and not the plus ones. Thanks!

One word, WEIRD. If 1959 works for you, it's not soldering problem. I have read lots of complaint about no video on v1.0 xbox with bios 3029. I personally have 1.0 and have no problem with 3029 myself but I wonder if it's a bios bug or something else.

Couldn't tell you! I am a noob. Took me forever and half to get the Xbox to talk to the computer here, and I am an IT manager/professional! Finally got the systems talking togethere and installed the new 120gb drive, and put Avalaunch on it! Sweet!!!!! Now am going ot have to work on backing up my games along with my brother's......

I don't think you are missing out too much with bios 1959. It's rock solid in my opinion.

I have a v1.0 with 3029 and it works perfectly. Idk why yours is not working. IT must be a bug like nartac said.
