x 3ce installed but some discs will not play.

I just installed my xecuter 3 ce and it will play some dvdr's but anything that is recent will not play.But will play on my buddies modded box.Is this a bios thing or is my chip not properly installed.please help im new at this stuff.

it could be the type of media you are useing some xbox don,t like diff types if you have and old xbox this is more common or are you burning to fast burn at no more then 2x and are you useing something like cxbox-tool to make your iso files

Thompson drives are supposedly the worst for media compatibility, although I've had some good luck with whatever CD-R and DVD-R discs I've had around. From what is reported on the drives elsewhere I guess I'm lucky.
