X-Ecuter 2.6 CE on a 1.6

i just recently finished an install of the 2.6 ce on a 1.6 xbox... the blue led on the chip lights up when i flip the switch to on, but it wont load flashbios... the xbox just boots up normally as it would when i hit the switch and turn off the chip... any suggestions on the problem? thanks

Sounds like a classic case of no D0 connection,

Double check this and give it another go.

could it be anything else? i just resoldered it a few times but still same thing... blue led is on but it boots up microsoft

you might have a bad chip,can you play games with the chip on?

i just tried playing a game with the chip enabled and it does load up like normal..

just in case, is there a d0 point on top of the 1.6 i coud try and solder the grey wire to just make it isnt the d0?

Look around your D0 point to see if you burned the trace. If not, there is no need to solder on the top. Check to make sure your D0 wire isn't pinched or broken. You will need a multimeter to check if it is broken. It may also be a problem with the switches.
