Maybe a dumb question on my first post and first try, but here goes.
I looked through the tuts and the X2.x sections...

I have a Xapt3r and X2.6 (obviously) but the place I purchased I don't think answered me correctly before my order and sent me the adapter for a 1.0-1.5 board. Is there a way to make this combo work for a soderless solution with my 1.6 xbox, rather than buy another part.

I noticed the part (adapter) I have looks way different than the one I see in the tutorials.

Xbox V.1.6 Just bought a month ago. X2.6CE and Xapt3r (doesn't have wirees/extensions comming out of it.

Thanks

And I do understand no answers to dumb questions, I ignore them sometimes on my boards myself.

Your Xapt3r should still have one wire coming from it, this would be for D0.

As far as making this into a 1.6 compatible piece of hardware, the only thing I could think of would be to do the LPC rebuild on the underside of the motherboard... and this would involve soldering. I'd contact the shop that sold you the piece and see what they can do for an exchange. You'll probably need to shell out more for the Xapt3r 1.6 as it is a more expensive part, and also some return shipping on the current piece. Many of the vendors are open and fair about such returns, if yours is not then I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Thank you sir.

I will attempt to get an installer from the boards. I don't want to take the chance of messing it up. I really didn't want a chip in this xbox, but since my HDD fried I have no choice. I tried the option above, so I'll just wire this thing.

Thanks again for the insight and info
