x2.6 BIOS 4983 on x3 chip?

Can I scrap the x3 bios and JUST put on the x2.6 4983 BIOS on?

I DO NOT WANT x3 config live - I wish I just bought a x2.6 chip not the x3......

so my quetion is:

Does the evox 4983 bios work on the X3 chip

yes the X2 (not evox) 4983 will work on the X3 chip..don't why you wouldn't want that X3 bios though it does everything the X2 bios does and more

Thank you for the roply.
The reason is because it is not my xbox - it is a firends who is not computer savy and all he want is to boot straight to XBMC.....

As it stands his chip always boots to x3 config live - and it will not save any setting made in x3 config live.

I am going to get him to come over and attempt to reflash an x3 bios, but failing that - I want to just use the x2 bios which has no config screen and will boot him straight to his dash.

Sounds like a soldering issue, or the eeprom needs to be erased.

Have you double-checked the soldering on points 13 14 and 15? have you tried running x3erase.xbe?
