okay so i got this x2.6 chip and i tried to put it in a v1.6b box... i did the installation a million different ways and everysingle time i was sure i did everything fine(i have done several installs and good soldering skills)...so i assumed maybe it was that the chip didnt include the 3.03 bios...so then i tried installing the same chip on a v1.0 xbox...after i installed it the only thing that loads up is the msdash...it doesnt matter if the chip is enabled or disabled...after 2 hours of double checking the soldering and looking for mistakes, etc... i actually got the flashing bios screen...after putting the xbox back together i was crushed to see it was back to the msdash...after reading several posts i have the idea that the problem might be the the external switch thing that comes with the chip...when i disable the chip i get a red light on the switch and no blue light on the chip...enabled i get all the lights as they should on the switch and blue light on chip...any thoughts? help will be greatly appreciated!
