x2.6 ce works fine but wont allow hard drive swap

i have fitted x2.6 ce to a mates xbox and it works fine it even has the new 5035 bios on it as well.but it wont let me fit a new hard drive if i fit new drive it frags with error 6..
it wont even go to slayer disk or anyother disk in the dvd
if i prep the drive (set it up with dashboards etc) on my machine works fine on mine not in his..
dont know what else to try..hard drive is locked and set up properly
the xbox is a 1.1 loads everything and plays games fine...help please

Have you gone and locked the HDD whilst it was in your xbox???

If so it will not work on his coz it is locked to your mobo not his.

Try putting it back in yours, unlock it with configmagic & then stick it back in his and give it a go.
