i need help please.i have a v1.0 box, an xecuter 2.6 lite and a xapter that too the best of my knowledge is installed correctly (xapter sits flush with motherboard &
d0 is definatly in the correct spot double and triple checked to be sure )
can anyone help me figure out why i'm still getting fragged.

I am really sorry to ask but the only person i know with experience with modding
says it should be working.

also i have flashed it several times because we thought it may have been a bad flash.

So the chip had been working in your install and bringing you to FlashBIOS at least once before FRAGing since you were able to flash? Able to try flashing a few times even. If this is the case then some details on what you are trying to flash to the chip would help. Recommended BIOS to put on there would be X2CL 5035.

If you are instead flashing via a programmer (since you didn't indicate how you flashed) and have not had any successful boots with the chip then I would recommend taking off the Xapter and giving the LPC holes a quick cleaning. Normally recommended is to use a pencil eraser or cotton swab, not sure if the swab should have anything on it to help clean the points. (run some searches, I think Fantmx generally jumps in with solderless cleaning tips.) Also make sure your switch cable is securely and fully plugged in, both ends.

Your D0 should be fine as without it you wouldn't even get a FRAG, unless you had really boned something on the motherboard. Since you're going solderless I would think this to be unlikely. The box works OK with the chip disabled?

i have been flashing via programmer tried ixia a couple times and x2bm a whole lot more.

my switch cable is connected and working properly under the circumstances.

my xbox works 100% with the chip disabled.

i have not tried cleaning my LPC (holes? they are filled) but i can see fresh pits in it from my xapter.

i hope that rules those options out even though i wish it was something so simple sounding.

Geez whoopin, am I that predictable? :)

I would check the switches. Look at Whoopin's sig, he has a link to a schematic for the 2.6 switch. You could also try flipping the on/off and bank selector switches a few times. When you do this, push the black part of the switch back as you change positions.

In the 6 months that I've been heavily active on the boards I've picked up certain patterns, you know? :D It is good advice and something I hadn't thought of prior to seeing it in the boards, but it makes perfect sense.

What do you mean the switches seem fine? Did you actually test them according to the link in Whoopin's sig? You can't just look at the switches, they have to be tested with a multimeter.

Sounds like a problem with your install. Check your soldering again.
