I've got the same problem as many others with the clock resetting plus anytime I have 720p enabled the screen goes scrambled and then no signal.

If I disable 720p everything works fine but won't go above the 480p mode. (no 1080i even though its set to yes)

I have figured out that if you turn off the xbox with the smaller power button and turn it back on before ejecting it won't loose the date and time....its a pain.

Anyone got suggestions?

x2.6 chip M8+1.6 bios is what I'm using on my 1.6b

flash the bios to both banks on chip and it will stop the resetting, not used the 720p sh*t as im on a pal plasma, but will probably sort that out too maybe, give it a go, to flash bios to both banks just make a full 1mb bios of just m8plus16 with x2bm and flash to chip

Just pulled out the manual for my TV and found it doesn't support 720p for some reason. Only 480i, 480p, 1080i....oh well.

My TV does support 720, but with some games it does scramble. It got to the point where i just leave it off. It will display in 1080i thought, but with dragon layer, which is the only game i have that outputs in 1080, i think.
