X2.6 Solderless Problem

Hi, I recently recieved a brand new X2.6CE chip. It is the solderless also, using the Xapter. Now the Xapter is in properly, the wire is pushed into the D0. The switch is set to Bank 1, Flash Protect On and Modchip on. This causes the Xbox to FRAG. No Video, but little sounds through the stereo, when it turns on. I have tried switching banks, but to no avail. The Xbox works fine when the chip is disabled. Is it possible that there is no Bios on the chip at all? Or is it something else? Can someone help please? Its an Xbox with the Focus chip, is that 1.4. Also I was using the Standard AV cable.

Make sure the Xapter is making good contact with the LPC points - did you fit the small metal 'top-hat' shaped parts into the LPC point holes? Do the LEDs on the chip/switchbank light? Is the D0 firmly inside the D0 hole?

Also, try removing the HD/DVD drive, pushing down firmly (but gently!) on top of the chip/xapter, then turn the Xbox on - does FlashBIOS load?

I have actually solved the problem. I had all the little "top hat" things in the LPC holes, the blue light came on with the chip. But nothing again. So instead I took out the Xapter, soldered the PinHeader in and the HDD/LAN leds and the D0. They were soldered right, but the chip still did the same thing. So I left everything as is, took X2.6 of the pinheader and placed a SmartXX there and the Xbox booted up fine, both with the switch enabled and disabled. I think it must have been a dodgy chip.
