Hey everyone, here's my story.
After two LOOOONNNGGG days I finally got it. The place where the wire install adapter plugs into the chip was aparently faulty. I just about gave up and finally decided to barely plug in the pins and the cromwell image jumped up on the screen. I left it there for probably an hour and hoped that it was something else that had caused it to finally work. After flashing the chip (which of course I screwed up and filled both locations with a bios (oops) no more flashbios unless I now get an adapter. But found out that you can use slayers auto installer to flash it too.
Anyways after getting things set up, I tried plugging in the adapter the rest of the way and I was back in frag land. Took about an hour to find the sweet spot again. I trimmed the extra pin and started from the back side and worked it in again and again.
What a pain. I actually checked the continuity between the wire on the board and the pins and they were fine. So I assume the issue is inside the female plug on the chip. Once I got it this time I brought out the handy dandy hot glue gun and coated it as well as I could.
I have a few pictures, but if you too are having the frag problem and you are 100% sure that your solder job is good, you too may have them mess with the adapter plug. Just pure luck that I got it after 2 days. I'm assuming that Teamxecuter has probably had a few frashtrated and unhappy customers because of it?
Here's a few pictures I took after complete. It's not pretty, but it's finally working!
